Position Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join their internal operations team on a full-time basis. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys leading both strategic finance initiatives and day-to-day financial operations. You’ll work closely with the senior leadership team to provide financial insight, oversee internal financial management, and help drive key systems improvements – including the implementation of a new payroll and expense platform.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage internal finance operations including payroll, trust accounts, billing, and compliance

Lead the implementation of a new HR/payroll system in collaboration with the People & Culture team

Oversee cash flow, budgeting, forecasting, and preparation of management and global reports

Provide commercial advice and financial insight to senior leaders and Partners

Maintain strong relationships with external banks, insurers, and advisors

Supervise and support the internal finance team, ensuring accuracy and efficiency

Participate in firm-wide projects and continuous improvement initiatives

Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes in collaboration with HR

About You:

Previous experience in a finance leadership role within a professional services firm (e.g., legal, consulting, accounting)

Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or similar (CA/CPA preferred)

Strong knowledge of finance systems, payroll, and compliance processes

Experience leading small teams and driving process improvements

Confident in balancing strategic priorities with hands-on financial operations

Exceptional attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset

Strong communication skills and the ability to influence across all levels of a business

Familiarity with Employment Hero is advantageous
