THE ROLE
As our Finance Manager, you provide outstanding financial oversight of daily activity, insights across all future growth projects and leadership that support our business to make decisions that drive profitable and sustainable growth.
You are responsible for the day-to-day running of the entire finance function, including company reporting and insights, finance systems, taxation, payroll, financial accounting management, compliance, and other business support as required.
Key responsibilities
Financial Management, Reporting & Insights
• Effectively manage and oversee the day-to-day financial operations of the business
• Oversee/assist our accounts admin staff who process accounts receivable and payable functions to ensure invoices are processed/ paid in line with our terms of business
• Oversee all cash forecasting and cash management including any finance or debt
• Bank reconciliation
• Develop, implement, and monitor appropriate financial systems, procedures and internal controls to support the efficient and effective operation of the finance function
• Manage all financial reporting across the business
• Produce and distribute all monthly financial reporting (P&L, sales, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Report, Creditor/ Debtors Report, Capital Reporting, Financial Dashboard analysis, etc.) to the CEO, Board and broader Leadership Team in an accurate and timely manner
• Ensure alignment and reconciliation of Activity, Chart of Accounts and financial results in conjunction with external accountants
• Ensure financial statements are integrated, accurate, timely and produce results which are reliable and of high quality
• Manage our month-end timetable to ensure all relevant stakeholders are clear on the expectation of what work is required and the associated timeframe
• Provide ad-hoc financial analysis as required
• Ensure payroll is processed accurately, on time and in line with all state/country requirements
• Support other key departments (i.e. supply chain, operations etc.) to achieve annual objectives
Compliance
• Ensure all regulatory requirements (tax, super, BAS, leave entitlements, WorkCover, payroll tax etc.) are managed appropriately and in line with state/country requirements
• Ensure that all financial related activities and records of the company are maintained, up to date and are in accordance with statutory reporting requirements, company policy and applicable accounting Standards and Australian Securities & Investment Commission legislation

· Provide outstanding leadership to your team and the broader business
· Set KPI’s and performance reviews for the finance team in accordance with strategic priorities

QULIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• CA or CPA Qualified Accountant with 3+ years’ experience in a similar role.
• Industry knowledge in SPORTING, LEISURE, EDUCATION and/or RETAIL (preferred not essential)
• Supply chain, logistics and/or procurement experience (preferred not essential)
• Commercial experience with strong business acumen
• Outstanding accounting, financial control and reporting skills
• Ability to work with stakeholders to build a strong and engaged community
• Ability to communicate financial analysis and key messages succinctly and clearly
• Experience using Xero
• Experience with the following platforms preferred but not essential; ANZ business portal, Stripe, Weel, Shopify.
