Finance Officer – Permanent Role | Brisbane | Career Growth Opportunity

I’m working with a well-established business based in Brisbane that’s looking to hire a Finance Officer to join their internal finance team. This is a great role for someone who’s recently graduated with a degree in accounting or commerce, or has 1–3 years of experience in a finance or accounts environment.
You’ll be working across accounts receivable and collections, supporting month-end tasks, and getting exposure to broader financial operations. It’s an excellent opportunity to step into a supportive team with genuine long-term career development on offer.

What you’ll be doing:

• Preparing and sending invoices to customers
• Managing overdue accounts and following up on payments
• Reconciling customer accounts and maintaining the ledger
• Assisting with cash flow and aged receivables reporting
• Supporting the procurement process and purchase order tracking
• Assisting with month-end close, including journal entries and reconciliations
• Responding to internal finance-related queries
• Getting involved in finance system and reporting improvements

What we’re looking for:

• 1–3 years of experience in a similar finance or accounts role
• A completed or near-completed degree in Accounting, Commerce or Finance
• A good eye for detail and strong communication skills
• Someone eager to learn and grow within a finance team
• Ability to prioritise and manage competing deadlines
