About the role

The Catholic Diocese of Townsville is currently seeking a reliable and detail-focused Finance Officer Officer to join the Finance Team based at the Diocese Office in Townsville City. This part time position will play a key role in delivering financial outcomes for the Diocese.

The Finance Officer will deliver a high standard of work, possess strong attention to detail and have the ability to prioritise conflicting tasks with accurate and timely administrative and accounting support activities.

Key Responsibilities include

Accounts Payable and Supplier management duties

Corporate Credit Card administration

Accounts Receivable administrative tasks

Provide administrative assistance as required, including formatting documents, scheduling, and file management

Financial data/transaction entry

Asset management register maintenance

Compile financial reports as requested

Electronic banking file management

Follow procedures for data security and confidentiality

About you

Essential:

Experience in data entry, and financial administrative support

Cert IV Booking Keeping/Accounting or equivalent

High attention to detail and accuracy in data handling

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and document systems

Strong organisational and time management skills

Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information professionally

Clear verbal and written communication skills

Desirable:

Experience with reckon or MYOB accounting packages

Mandatory Requirements:

Current Queensland Working with Children Check (Blue Card)

National Police Check

Adherence to organisational confidentiality and security protocols
