Are you a passionate and experienced Sous Chef looking to step into a leadership role? Rose of Australia Hotel in Williamstown has recently undergone a major transformation, and we’re seeking a capable, hands-on Sous Chef to take charge of our busy bistro kitchen.

About the Role:
As Sous Chef, you will be the driving force behind our kitchen operations. This is not just a supporting role – we’re looking for someone who can confidently manage day-to-day kitchen activities, lead the team, maintain high food quality, and ensure smooth service.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee all kitchen operations for the bistro

Manage prep, service, ordering, and stock control

Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient working environment

Lead, train, and motivate kitchen staff

Ensure consistent food quality and presentation

Work closely with the Head Chef and management to innovate and deliver new menu items

About You:

Minimum 3+ years of experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie in a busy kitchen

Strong leadership and kitchen management skills

Excellent knowledge of modern Australian bistro cuisine

Ability to work independently and handle pressure

Passionate about food, reliable, and results-driven

Available to work nights and weekends as required
