About the role

We are seeking an experienced Junior Sous Chef and Senior Chef de Partie to join our dynamic culinary team at the Commonwealth Golf Club in Oakleigh South, Victoria. This full-time position will see you play a vital role in the creation and execution of our innovative seasonal menus, catering to our members and their guests.

What you'll be doing

Assisting the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen

Taking on line cooking responsibilities for various stations

Preparing and presenting high-quality dishes to our members and guests

Ensuring all food safety and hygiene standards are upheld

Supporting the development and training of junior kitchen staff

Collaborating with the culinary team to develop new menu items

Maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient work environment

Working days are Wednesday to Sunday

What we're looking for

Formal culinary training and 2-3 years of experience as a Chef de Partie or Junior Sous Chef in a high-volume, fast-paced environment

Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and plating

Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills

A passion for creating delicious, visually appealing dishes

Ability to work well in a team and under pressure

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Current Food Safety Supervisor certification
