About the role

As the Application Sales Engineer for Weidmuller Pty Ltd, you will be have an Electrical and or Automation Engineering background with at least 3 years of sales experience. You will utilize your technical know how to drive growth and business strategies for the Victoria and Tasmania regions. This is a full-time role and will be located in Melbourne and you will work closely within our key stakeholders including our Distribution partners and direct key customers. You will also work closely with our internal and external stakeholders to achieve commercial targets.

What you will be doing

You will be utilizing your engineering and technical knowlege to execute strategies and drive growth for the Victoria and Tasmania region.

Building and maintaining strong relationships with key distribution partners and key customers.

Identifying new business prospects and converting them into customers.

Providing expert product demonstrations and service knowledge to customers to support their decision making.

Collaborating with the regional distribution and national sales team to share insights and best practices.

Utilizing CRM and to use as a toll to effectively provide sales reports and to meet budget targets.

Contributing to the overall Sales goals and strategic direction of the company.

What we're looking for

Extensive Technical Field experience preference with a B2B environment

Strong commercial acumen and the ability to think strategically

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trust with customers

Proven track record of consistently achieving or exceeding sales targets.

Thorough understanding of the Victoria sales landscape and key industry trends.

Trade/degree qualified in a relevant field such as Electrical /Electronic/Automation.
