Join a well-established Australian manufacturer investing in the growth of its industrial safety products division. This is a national role focused on driving B2B sales of engineered safety solutions across industries like mining, construction, mobile plant, logistics, etc.
You’ll be joining a collaborative and technically strong team, working closely with internal engineers, the NZ and US teams, and reporting directly to the General Manager.
About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Business Development Manager with strong B2B technical solutions sales skills to drive growth in the industrial market. You'll develop and execute a national strategy, identify key targets, and take a hands-on approach to building the sales pipeline.
This is not a retail-focused role — it's about strategic selling to businesses that care about safety, compliance, and quality.
The role includes:
Developing a national sales strategy for industrial clients
Identifying and managing high-value B2B opportunities
Championing technical products
Managing Shopify e-commerce sales and digital opportunities
Collaborating with internal engineers to deliver custom solutions
Reporting on sales performance and forecasts
Weekly strategy sessions with the leadership team
Travelling across Australia to meet with customers on-site
We'd Love to Hear from You If You Have:
7+ years proven experience in B2B sales within industrial, manufacturing or technical environments
Strong ability to sell both strategically and practically, from workshop floor to boardroom
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related technical field (or equivalent industry experience)
CRM experience (Microsoft Dynamics preferred)
Shopify or online sales platform experience highly regarded
Confidence in writing proposals and presenting solutions
A genuine interest in safety and innovation
A collaborative, low-ego approach to teamwork
Melbourne-based for regular office engagement and valid Australian driver's licence and ability to travel interstate
OHS/WHS certification or similar safety qualifications highly regarded but not required
Candidates must have permanent right to work in Australia
