This is an excellent opportunity to join ADAPT Australia as a Sales and Application Manager (Utility Sector & Grid Solutions). In this full-time role based in Melbourne (Sydney or Brisbane will also be considered) but with national coverage, you will be responsible for leading product/brand development within the utility sector and grid solutions space, focusing on LV monitoring, automation and power quality devices and sensors. Collaborating with the ADAPT sales team, you will leverage your technical expertise and strong business acumen to identify and help secure new revenue opportunities for the company.

What you'll be doing

Develop and deliver tailored sales proposals that highlight ADAPTs LV Monitoring products and services

Collaborate closely with the technical team to understand product capabilities and design effective solutions

Actively prospect and engage with potential clients in the utility and grid solutions market

Negotiate contract terms and close sales deals

Maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities and provide regular performance updates

Attend industry events and conferences to network and identify new leads

Prepare and follow up on pilot projects to showcase product capabilities.

What we're looking for

Electrical Engineering background (Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering preferred; other engineering degrees such as Telecommunications will be considered with relevant experience).

5+ years of experience in technical sales/application, preferably in utilities, power systems automation, or electrical monitoring solutions.

Strong understanding of power systems and products, particularly on Power Automation, SCADA integration with knowledge of protocols including (but not limited to) DNP3, Modbus and IEC61850. Awareness of best practice cyber security methods and standards for interconnected power systems is also an advantage. Familiarity with Smilics Technologies (https://smilics.com/en/) LV monitoring solutions and sensors would be an advantage.

Experience with electrical substations and their integration in distribution networks.

Familiarity with sales processes, including opportunity management and pipeline reporting
