As we continue our growth journey, we are looking for a skilled Accounts Officer or Bookkeeper to strengthen our finance team and help drive our commitment to operational excellence.

About the Role

In this pivotal position, you will ensure the financial integrity of Global Waste Services by managing day-to-day accounts and supporting our compliance and reporting functions. Your expertise will contribute directly to our business success and ongoing growth.

Key Duties

Maintain accurate financial records and manage daily bookkeeping using XERO.

Handle accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing, supplier payments, and customer receipts.

Reconcile bank accounts and financial statements to guarantee accuracy.

Process weekly payroll, including superannuation and leave entitlements.

Prepare and present end-of-month financial reports.

Assist with BAS, PAYG, and other compliance requirements in partnership with our external accountant.

Collaborate effectively with both internal team members and external partners while managing tasks independently.

What We’re Looking For

Full-time availability, with school hours considered for the right candidate.

Demonstrated experience in bookkeeping or accounts roles.

Strong proficiency in XERO accounting software.

Solid background in payroll processing.

High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Effective time management and prioritisation skills.

Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.

Relevant qualifications in Bookkeeping or Accounting are preferred.
