As our business continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced Accounts Officer or Bookkeeper to join our team and support our ongoing commitment to operational excellence.

Your Role

As our Accounts Officer, you will play a vital role in maintaining the financial health of Global Waste Services. You will be responsible for accurate financial record-keeping, processing accounts, payroll, and supporting our reporting and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Bookkeeping: Manage day-to-day bookkeeping and maintain accurate financial records within XERO.

Accounts Payable & Receivable: Oversee invoicing, supplier payments, and customer receipts.

Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank accounts and financial records to ensure accuracy.

Payroll: Process weekly payroll, including superannuation and leave tracking.

End of Month Reporting: Prepare and deliver end of month financial reports for management review.

Compliance: Assist with BAS, PAYG, and other compliance documentation in collaboration with our external accountant.

Teamwork: Work closely with our internal team and external accountant while managing tasks independently.

What We Are Looking For

Fulltime: School hours for the right candidate.

Experience: Proven experience in a bookkeeping or accounts role.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in XERO accounting software.

Payroll: Strong payroll processing experience.

Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy and organisational skills.

Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Time Management: Well-organised with excellent prioritisation abilities.

Collaboration: Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications: Formal qualifications in Bookkeeping or Accounting (preferred).
