About the role

We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Bookkeeper/ Accounts Payable Administrator to join our Alive Pharmacy Group team in Cairns, Queensland. This role is pivotal in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records, supporting the day-to-day operations across multiple pharmacy locations.

In this full-time role, you will be responsible for day-to-day bookkeeping tasks such as managing the accounts payable function, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments. You will work closely with the broader finance team and community pharmacy network to ensure timely and efficient financial management.

What you'll be doing

Process and reconcile accounts payable invoices in a timely manner

Prepare and lodge BAS

Process Payroll

Maintain accurate records and documentation for all financial transactions

Liaise with suppliers and internal teams to resolve any discrepancies or issues

Assist with month-end and year-end accounting tasks

Provide support to the wider finance team as needed

What we're looking for

Strong attention to detail and accuracy with financial data

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

A team player with the ability to work independently

Relevant qualifications in accounting or finance would be highly regarded

Previous experience with Xero, MYOB or another financial package helpful but not required

BAS agent qualification would be highly regarded but not required
