The Organisation:
Federal government department with a well-established finance business partner structure. This FBP team is high-performing, and this is a great role for an APS6 that enjoys engaging across the business.

The Role:
This APS6 finance business partner role is working closely with a project-based area that has a broad scope, providing them with financial advice and support in the management of their budgets.

The role will be working to an experienced EL1 that has been working in the area for a couple of years. The broader team is led by an EL2 with a strong track record that has created a high performing culture. Finance business partners in this area provide technical end of month support as well as budgeting, forecasting and analysis, on scheduled and ad hoc basis.

The role is vacant and has ASL available to fill it. The client is happy to consider candidates via an S26 transfer, or non-ongoing contract basis. The role is available for an immediate start.

The role will see you liaising extensively across the business/project area and is a great opportunity to build a positive personal brand amongst the leadership of the department.

It’s based in the heart of Melbourne CBD and they can offer 2 days WFH.

Your Skills and Experience:
You have worked in a management accounting or finance business partner role at the APS6 or equivalent level previously. You must be able to demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to develop business relationships.
You must also be able demonstrate experience of coordinating and delivering monthly management reporting packs and providing analysis and advice related to this.

You must be an Australian Citizen and hold a baseline security clearance to be considered for this role.
