Due to business growth my very successful client is seeking a Business Services Accountant (Intermediate or Senior) with at least 3-5 years Tax/Business Services experience to join them in a path to a leadership role with the opportunity to be an equity partner. The ideal candidate will be CPA/CA qualified or working towards qualification.

The role:

• Handle BAS, IAS, FBT, Payroll Tax, and other compliance requirements
• Advise on Division 7A, CGT small business concessions, and other technical issues
• Prepare income tax returns and financial statements for Companies, Trusts, Partnerships, and Sole Traders
• Liaise directly with clients and help build strong, long-term relationships

The candidate:

• Completed a bachelor’s degree in accounting / commerce or similar tertiary qualification
• CPA or CA qualification (or currently completing)
• Accumulated sufficient experience at intermediate level, in Business Services and Tax encompassing tax compliance and tax planning
• Have reasonable level of technical tax knowledge and understanding of various tax structures
• Able to deliver tax accounting services with minimal supervision within a team environment
• Have a strong attention to detail
• Self-starter with the ability to develop solutions
• Competent IT user, experience with Xero is ESSENTIAL
• Well-developed interpersonal skills and professional verbal and written communication
• Ability to work autonomously, show initiative and accountability
• Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines and maintain highest client service standards
