Wingboy is looking for Kitchen Managers in a full time capacity to join our amazing team at our new location. The venue is an 150+ seater full service restaurant located Penrith.

The venue is a busy, fast paced environment alongside a team with a strong focus on customer experience by delivering excellent food.

The Kitchen Managers will be responsible for the following:

Monitoring the quality, consistency, and presentation of food being prepared and leaving the kitchen.

Ensuring all recipes and run sheets are followed by yourself and the team

Ensuring all systems and procedures are followed at all times

Food safety standards to be met at all times, trained and followed up

Stock control and purchases are monitored daily and kept within budget and controlled effectively.

Effective communication with the kitchen team, front-of-house team and management.

Assisting with staff training for junior cooks

Assigning tasks and coordinating duties within the kitchen

Supervision of tasks and follow up on tasks and operational performance.

Ensuring hygiene & safety standards are met

Help maintain positive morale and an enjoyable and positive working environment.

Estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies

Preparing and cooking food

Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation

Your job will be hands-on and will require performance, planning and implementation of efficient kitchen operations in an environment of Wingboy’s company policies. The ideal candidate is expected to display a proven track record of leading by example in a similar role in the past.

Experience Required:

At least 2 years of full-time experience as a kitchen supervisor

Comfortable managing a kitchen team

Food Safety certified

You will be responsible for the management of the kitchen with a focus on operational compliance, food safety, staff management, Food prep and cost control. You would always have a positively mentored environment by way of support from the Head Office Team and owners.
