Position Summary
The Service and Beverage Manager is a hands-on leadership role responsible for delivering an exceptional and seamless guest experience through outstanding service and a curated beverage program. This role combines floor leadership with the strategic oversight of the restaurant’s wine, cocktail, and non-alcoholic offerings. The successful candidate will lead by example, inspire the team, and uphold Fino Seppeltsfield’s core values of integrity, excellence, professionalism, and care.
Key Responsibilities
Service & Leadership
Lead daily front-of-house operations with a strong floor presence during service periods.
Maintain Fino’s high standards of service, presentation, and guest engagement.
Support and motivate FOH staff through coaching, training, and positive leadership.
Assist with staff rosters, shift planning, and on-site service briefings.
Troubleshoot guest concerns with professionalism and efficiency.
Beverage Program Management
Oversee the wine list, cocktail menu, and non-alcoholic selections with alignment to Fino’s regional and seasonal ethos.
Maintain strong relationships with winemakers, suppliers, and producers to support a thoughtful and ever-evolving beverage offering.
Ensure all beverage offerings reflect Fino’s commitment to South Australian produce and quality craftsmanship.
Train staff in beverage knowledge, wine service, pairings, and responsible service practices.
Stock & Budget Management
Manage beverage stock control, ordering, and inventory with accuracy.
Ensure monthly budgets are adhered to through ordering and stock control.
Ensure storage, stock rotation, and cellar management procedures are followed.
Team Development & Culture
Foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful team environment.
Participate in recruitment, induction, and performance management processes.
Lead tastings, training sessions, and development opportunities for team members.
Administration & Compliance
Maintain accurate POS systems and beverage pricing.
Ensure compliance with RSA and licensing regulations.
Assist with event planning, private dining, and special promotions where required.
