We’re seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Credit Analyst supporting Asset Finance applications in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. This role primarily focuses on small-to-medium enterprise lending, with exposure to a variety of business structures and asset classes.

You'll work closely with the Channel businesses. This is a dynamic and engaging position, ideal for someone with strong commercial acumen, sound credit judgment, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

Assess creditworthiness of small-to-medium business applicants across a range of industries, structures (Sole Traders, Trusts, Companies), and asset types

Analyse financial statements, bank statements, tax returns, and other relevant data

Conduct customer verification and ensure timely, accurate system entries

Collaborate closely with the Channel Sales team to ensure proposals align with credit policies

Communicate credit decisions clearly and confidently within your delegated authority

Contribute to continuous improvement of credit processes and tools

Support the Credit Manager and broader credit team with ad hoc requests

Deliver a high standard of service to internal and external stakeholders

What You’ll Bring

2–3 years of commercial lending or asset finance credit assessment experience (banking or non-bank)

Strong financial analysis skills and an understanding of SME and Sole Trader credit risks

Knowledge of leasing and loan products including chattel mortgage, finance lease, and rental agreements

Familiarity with the Privacy Act, PPSA, and AML/CTF compliance

High attention to detail, commercial mindset, and a proactive attitude

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

A relevant degree in finance, commerce, or accounting is desirable
