About the Role

We are seeking an Estimator to join our growing estimating department. The suitable applicant will have the following responsibilities;

General Estimating for general carpentry works

Completing accurate and detailed tenders, estimates and full scope of works on time to ensure the maximum number of contracts are awarded

Advising alternative products/price options to ensure client budget requirements are met

Provide accurate construction cost estimates and cost planning advice for the full scope of works requested by the client.

Will be using On-Center or Build soft Take Off (Training can be provided)

Liaising with Builders and Suppliers on a day-to-day basis

Work with clients and ensure they are regularly updated on the progress of their project quote

Salary negotiable depending on experience

Requirements

Estimating Experience in a similar role with 2-3 years of experience

Excellent understanding of materials and construction techniques

Strong cost planning skills, including an up-to-date knowledge of current market rates

Good understanding of Microsoft Excel

Ability to confidently problem-solve, complete detailed, accurate take-offs, and manage multiple projects and varied client requirements.

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills are key to this role.
