Barker Group is a prominent property developer and builder headquartered in Albury, New South Wales. Our projects encompass a diverse range of residential and industrial projects.

The Company Accountant role is responsible for ensuring the meticulous management and accurate recording of all financial transactions within Barker Group and its related entities.

We seek an enthusiastic and detail-oriented accountant who is prepared to contribute to the company’s growth and development.

Key responsibilities include:

- Management of Xero accounting software daily

- Regular reporting to company directors on project progress and business performance

- Payroll processing & management

- Payables and receivables reconciliation

- Other administration incl insurance, land tax, BAS. etc

- Subcontractor reporting

- Liaising with external accountants

This role is based on a four to five-day weekly schedule, with a location in Albury, New South Wales. The position offers opportunities for professional growth and development as the business evolves.

Required qualifications and experience include:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (or nearing completion)

- Proficiency in Xero software

- Construction industry experience (preferred)

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite

- Excellent attention to detail

- Ability to manage multiple tasks
