Full job description

The Role

• Preparation of financial statements and tax returns for individuals, partnerships, companies, trusts, and self-managed superannuation funds.
• Preparation of Business Activity Statements, Instalment Activity Statements, and state tax returns such as payroll tax and land tax
• Preparation of statutory obligation, e.g. sole traders, partnerships, companies, trusts, SMSFs
• Working knowledge of accounting software – Xero, MYOB, Quickbooks
• Good understanding of income tax, payroll tax, and lodging obligations on behalf of clients
• Working with team members to ensure client work is completed within the timeframe
• Bank and GL reconciliations
• Review BAS and income tax returns workpapers
• Liasing with the ATO, ASIC, clients, and other professionals to ensure timely completion of tasks and compliance works
• Conduct year-end accounts and GL audits

About You

• 3+ Experience in Public Practice
• Strong organisation skills and attention to detail
• At least a bachelor's degree in accounting
• Experience in MYOB, Xero, Quickbooks
