About the role

We are seeking a compassionate and organised medical receptionist to join our friendly team at Family First General Practice in Franklin ACT. Working in a part-time capacity, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and administrative support to our patients and the wider practice.

What you'll be doing

• Greeting patients and visitors in a warm and professional manner
• Managing patient bookings, rescheduling appointments, and maintaining accurate patient records
• Handling patient enquiries, both in person and over the phone, and directing them to the appropriate healthcare professionals
• Assisting with the management of medical files and documentation
• Ensuring the reception area is well-organised and presentable at all times
• Providing general administrative support to the practice as needed

What we're looking for

• Previous experience in a medical or healthcare administration role, preferably in a general practice setting
• Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• Proficiency in using medical software and technology, such as patient management systems
• A caring and compassionate approach to patient care
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team and under pressure
