ABOUT THE ROLE
This Sydney-based Quality Manager role is an opportunity to take the lead in embedding quality and compliance across every stage of the property development lifecycle. You will drive continuous improvement through well-defined frameworks, lead process governance, and ensure that each development aligns with best-in-class quality, safety, and sustainability standards. This role is perfect for a strategic thinker who thrives on creating structure, educating others, and delivering excellence in a mission-driven setting.
DUTIES
- Lead the creation, implementation, and continual improvement of end-to-end property development processes
- Develop quality-focused documentation: procedures, checklists, tools, and frameworks
- Work across teams to embed quality assurance into design, construction, and commissioning phases
- Establish and monitor KPIs and development milestones
- Conduct quality audits, inspections, and post-occupancy evaluations
- Deliver training and mentorship to internal and external project teams
- Stay across industry innovations and integrate best practices into development frameworks
- Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes and statutory requirements
- Influence a culture of continuous improvement and excellence
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Degree or Master’s in Property Development or a related discipline
- Project Management qualifications essential
- 10+ years in property development, with significant experience in large, complex projects
- Expertise in development process design and enforcement
- Strong knowledge of BCA, Australian Standards, and relevant NSW/national codes
- Proven experience in construction quality and compliance (e.g. AS/NZS ISO 9001, AS4801, ISO 14001)
- Strong leadership, mentoring and stakeholder engagement skills
- Passion for quality, process, and social impact
- Desirable: Postgraduate qualifications and/or membership in industry peak bodies
- Experience in Aged Care, Retirement Living, or similar sectors preferred
