Role Overview
As the Head of Brand & Communications, you will be instrumental in elevating the company's brand presence across all channels, with a particular focus on digital and social media platforms. You will also be responsible for amplifying the profiles of the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and showcasing the company's landmark projects. This role demands a visionary leader adept at crafting and executing comprehensive PR and media strategies, as well as curating high-impact industry and client events that align with the company's ambitious growth trajectory.


Key Responsibilities
Strategic Brand Leadership

  • Develop and implement a holistic brand strategy that enhances corporate reputation and market positioning.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all platforms, communications, and stakeholder engagements.
  • Collaborate with the ELT to align brand initiatives with overarching business objectives.

Digital & Social Media Strategy

  • Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive digital marketing strategy, focusing on platforms such as Instagram, LinkedIn, and emerging channels.
  • Create and manage content calendars that include high-quality visuals, videos, and storytelling to engage target audiences.
  • Utilize analytics tools to monitor performance and optimize campaigns for maximum reach and engagement.

Executive Profiling & Thought Leadership

  • Position ELT members as industry thought leaders through strategic media placements, speaking engagements, and authored content.
  • Manage executive communications, including speeches, interviews, and opinion pieces.

Public Relations & Media Engagement

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with key media outlets, journalists, and industry influencers.
  • Oversee the creation and dissemination of press releases, media kits, and other PR materials.
  • Monitor media coverage and manage responses to media inquiries and public statements.

Event Strategy & Execution

  • Design and execute a calendar of high-impact, bespoke events, including industry roundtables, client dinners, and project launches.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure events align with brand messaging and business objectives.
  • Leverage events to generate media coverage and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders.

Project & Community Communications

  • Develop communication strategies for new and existing projects, highlighting their unique value propositions.
  • Engage with local communities, stakeholders, and councils to foster positive relationships and support for developments.

Crisis & Issues Management

  • Develop and implement crisis communication plans to protect and manage the company's reputation.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all crisis-related communications.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Build and mentor a high-performing communications team, fostering a culture of creativity and excellence.
  • Oversee the recruitment, training, and professional development of team members.

Key Objectives

  • Achieve a 30% increase in positive media coverage year-over-year.
  • Secure speaking opportunities for ELT members at major industry conferences and events.
  • Enhance brand recognition metrics by 25% within 12 months.
  • Develop and launch a refreshed corporate website and digital presence within the first six months.
  • Successfully plan and execute a series of high-profile events that generate media coverage and strengthen stakeholder relationships.
