Job location

Our Corporate Office is located at Thomas Embling Hospital just 15 minutes north of the city. Due to our announced expansion across all Directorates, we have a need for experienced like-minded professionals to join our team to support our growing services. Our Directorates includes Thomas Embling Hospital, Prison Operations and our Community Directorate with highly skilled disciplines including Nursing, Lived Experience, Occupational Therapy, Psychiatry, Psychologists and Social Work. We have an outstanding L&D and discipline Educator co-hort that continually upskill our already skilled and supportive team.

About the Role:

This position is responsible for Security Solutions across the TEH campuses. The Security Solutions Lead is a leadership role focused and responsible for overseeing and implementing physical security technologies and systems within an organization. This includes managing security projects, ensuring alignment with business goals, and leading teams to maintain and enhance the security posture of the organisation

The position has a key role in assisting the Executive Director Projects and Infrastructure, in developing and implementing systemic improvements to enhance forensic mental health services provided by Forensicare.

Duties:

Solution Design and Implementation:

• Lead the development and implementation of security solutions that address specific business needs and security risks.

Project Management:

• Oversee security projects, from planning and scoping to execution and delivery, ensuring they meet deadlines and budget.

Team Leadership:

• Provide guidance and mentorship to security team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.

Strategic Planning:

• Develop and communicate security strategies that align with the organization's overall business objectives.

Vendor Management:

• Evaluate, select, and manage relationships with security vendors.

Security Risk Management:

• Identify, assess, and mitigate security risks to protect the organization's assets and data.

Incident Response:

• Develop and execute incident response plans to handle security breaches and other security incidents.

Compliance:

• Ensure that security measures comply with relevant regulations and standards.

About You:

• A sound understanding of community and government needs in relation to health care.

• Project management experience, including proven ability to manage change successfully.

• Sound interpersonal skills with proven ability to engage, consult and influence a diverse range of stakeholders.

• Proven ability to map, analyse and reform business and operational policies and procedures.

What you need:

A tertiary qualification in legal or a related public policy or human service delivery area (desirable).
