The Territory Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with resellers and distributors, while proactively driving new business growth across a diverse range of sectors. This dual-focus role combines account management excellence with business development acumen, targeting both established distribution channels and direct project opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain strong relationships with resellers and distributors, acting as their main point of contact.
Proactively seek out and secure new business across irrigation, rural, water utilities, plumbing, mining, gas, industrial, telecommunications, and wastewater sectors.
Build relationships with key stakeholders such as project managers, engineers, specifiers, and procurement professionals.
Engage with government agencies, water councils, and municipal authorities to identify and respond to tenders and contracts.
Maintain a robust sales pipeline, tracking opportunities from initial contact through to contract award and project completion.
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and provide feedback to internal teams.
Develop territory-specific strategies to maximise market share and revenue growth.
Work with internal teams including sales, technical support, marketing, logistics, and finance.
Travel within the VIC territory as required to support business growth.

Who This Role Is For
You have proven experience in an external sales role—it doesn’t matter what you sold, they can teach you the product.
You’ve sold to similar markets—think irrigation, rural, water utilities, plumbing, mining, gas, industrial, telecommunications, or wastewater—so if you’ve worked in these areas, you should apply.

Salary: $100k - $120k + Super + Commissions + Company Car + Tools of Trade
