With safety, reliability and performance at the core of what we do, we are looking for a dedicated safety assets and compliance manager to support our continued growth and ensure operations remain safe, compliant and efficient.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this full-time position is a key role within the business and will see you managing a wide range of responsibilities that underpin our commitment to safety, operational compliance and asset oversight.
We are looking for a hands-on professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys streamlining processes and has a strong eye for detail when it comes to regulatory obligations.
Key Responsibilities
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
· Preparation and review of SWMS and risk assessments. Develop, implement, and update safe work method statements and safety documentation to ensure alignment with evolving project scopes and legislative changes.
· Asset management. Maintain an accurate register of plant and equipment. Manage work schedules and inspections to maximise asset lifespan an operational safety.
· Site Safety Monitoring Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify hazards, ensure PPE and signage compliance, and promote a culture of corrective risk management.
· Contractor and subcontractor compliance Ensure all third party contractors meet with company and legislative safety and compliance requirements before and during engagement.
· Regulatory compliance Maintain up-to-date knowledge of WHS legislation, manage external audits, and ensure policies and procedures reflect current regulatory obligations.
· Licensing & Certification Monitoring Track employee and contractor licenses, certification and tickets to ensure currency and validity. Coordinate renewals where required.
· Administrative and Reporting Duties Maintain accurate safety records, assist with incident reporting & investigations, and provide weekly and monthly compliance reports to management.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will need:
• Proven experience in a similar safety, compliance or asset management role, ideally within the industrial services, construction or trades.
• A strong working knowledge of WHS laws and regulations.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work autonomously and prioritise tasks effectively. Confident using Microsoft Office and or digital compliance tools.
• Certificate IV in WHS highly regarded
