Your new career
Surf Coast Shire has a growing asset base that serves and provides vital infrastructure for our community. The Asset Management team is seeking an Asset Management professional to grow our team to continue serving, acting as custodian and providing oversight of our asset base for the present and into the future.
What you will bring to the role
We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented Asset Management professional who is dedicated to delivering and making a positive impact for the community and being part of an inclusive and cohesive team.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Experience in Asset Management within a Local Government setting.
- High level writing skills, with an ability to write simple reports in plain English.
- Demonstrated skills in engineering principles e.g. Civil, Roads, Drainage and Buildings.
- Well rounded communication and relationship management for engaging internally at Council and Community.
Key selection criteria
Mandatory qualifications, experience and requirements
- Civil Engineering, Asset Management or similar Qualification or 5 years of relevant experience (Qualification check conducted)
- Demonstrated experience in asset management.
- Experience in developing asset management plans and policies.
- Experience in engineering principles.
- Hold a valid Victorian Drivers Licence
- A current Working With Children Check
- You have the permanent right to live and work in Australia
- Police Check results that are suitable for this position (will be arranged by Surf Coast Shire Council).
A complete international criminal history check is required if the person has worked or lived overseas for any period of time OR a complete national criminal history check is required if the person has only ever worked in Australia.
