Clarity Partners is partnering with an inclusive, mid-sized mining organisation based in West Perth, known for its collaborative culture and strong employee engagement.

We are seeking a skilled Accountant to support mine-site operations by delivering accurate and timely financial reporting. This is a key role within a high-performing finance team, offering valuable exposure to cost control, budgeting, forecasting, and continuous improvement across the mining value chain.

Responsibilities:

• Manage general ledger activities, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, accruals, and fixed assets.
• Execute accurate month-end and year-end processes and assist with variance analysis.
• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and reforecasting cycles.
• Oversee cash flow, capital expenditures, and cost control measures.
• Prepare operational and management reports for both site and corporate stakeholders.
• Collaborate with mine-site managers to provide financial insights and support performance decisions.
• Ensure compliance with statutory obligations such as BAS, FBT, and audit requirements.
• Identify and implement improvements to financial systems, processes, and controls.

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• CPA or CA qualified (or actively working toward qualification).
• Minimum of 3 years' accounting experience, with direct experience in mining operations.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, cost control, and variance analysis.
• Proficient with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Pronto) and advanced Excel skills.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• A proactive and collaborative approach to continuous improvement.
