Located a short walk from Circular Quay train, bus and light rail interchange, among the cobblestone laneways of The Rocks district in a quirky heritage building, you will find the delightful Sydney Harbour Hotel. Offering 176 rooms and a relaxed restaurant and lobby bar, we are located centrally offering a quintessential Sydney experience.

The Role:

Reporting to our Maintenance Manager, you will work as part of a small, hands-on team responsible for general maintenance across the hotel. Tasks could include painting, plastering and a variety of repair and upkeep duties — no two days are the same.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring the safe, efficient and reliable operation of all equipment and facilities for both guests and team members.
  • Preserving the hotel’s asset value while contributing to a consistently positive and professional image.
  • Carrying out daily maintenance tasks and diligently following preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Leading by example when it comes to workplace health and safety across all tasks and environments.
  • Responding swiftly and effectively to urgent repair requests — always with a calm, can-do attitude.
  • Pitching in wherever needed — you're hands-on, practical and not afraid to get your hands dirty.
