About the role

Join the team at Brown Sugar Bakery as a full-time Baker/Pastry Chef. Based in the beautiful coastal town of Forresters Beach, NSW, this role will see you creating delicious baked goods and pastries for our loyal customers. As an experienced baker or pastry chef, you will play a key part in maintaining the high standards and excellent reputation of our artisanal bakery.

What you'll be doing

Preparing, mixing, and baking a variety of breads, pastries, cakes, and other baked goods to the highest quality standards

Ensuring accurate portioning, shaping, and finishing of all baked products

Maintaining a clean and organised workstation, following all food safety and hygiene protocols

Assisting with the preparation of seasonal and specialty baked items

Collaborating with the team to improve processes and introduce new product ideas

Providing exceptional customer service and sharing your baking expertise with customers

What we're looking for

Minimum 2 years' experience as a baker or pastry chef in a commercial bakery or café environment

Strong technical baking skills and knowledge of different baking techniques

Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high food safety and hygiene standards

Passion for creating delicious baked goods and a desire to continually learn and improve

Positive attitude, strong teamwork skills, and a willingness to assist in all areas of the bakery
