We are searching for a motivated cook who shows the prior experience in cooking and have a great passion for cooking.

To be successful candidate, you should be familiar with the Chinese cuisine, have a basic knowledge of cookery as well as the food safety regulations. You should have a basic understanding of cookery, know the basic cooking methods and dishes seasoning, familiar with Chinese food and the way they are prepared, have a certain understanding of food safety as well.

Qualification:

AQF Certificate III or above

Skill requirement:

Strong knowledge of cooking methods and operating kitchen tools and equipment

Your duties for the role are as follows:

(1) Prepare the food with a variety of dishes, ensuring they meet the standards for taste, presentation, and portion size.

(2) Cook food and sauces in accordance with orders, including cooking methods like steamed, poached and fried, etc.

(3) Season, plate, and garnish dishes to ensure consistency in flavor and visual appeal.

(4) Store food properly, following food safety and hygiene regulations to maintain freshness and prevent contamination.

(5) Create dishes tailored to specific dietary needs, such as allergies, intolerances, and individual preferences.

(6) Assist in training other kitchen staff and apprentices, sharing culinary knowledge and best practices to maintain high standards across the team.

(7) Assist in planning menus and estimating food requirements based on anticipated guest demand and seasonal availability.
