📍 Location: Sydney CBD (with car parking)
🕒 Shift: 3:00pm – 12:00am, Monday to Friday
💰 Salary: $90,000–$110,000 + Super (negotiable based on experience)

About the Role
We're seeking a highly organised, assertive, and proactive PM Kitchen Manager to lead our evening production shift. This role goes beyond a traditional chef position; it requires structured leadership akin to high-volume, systemised kitchens such as airline catering, cruise ships, army kitchens, or large hotel conference catering.
You’ll oversee a team of around 20 staff—most starting with minimal cooking experience—and will transform their positive attitudes into high-performance through structured training, clear communication, and strong leadership.
What Will Be Expected from You:
By 3 Months:
Fully own the PM shift—accountable for quality, output, compliance, and team performance.
Actively contribute to developing a People Plan to enhance training, retention, and team performance.
Appoint and develop at least four effective team leaders.
Consistently achieve established labour cost, quality, safety, compliance, and team performance targets.
By 6 Months:
Establish a capable supervisory leadership team and a fully self-sufficient 2IC.
Consistently meet established benchmarks in labour cost, quality, safety, compliance, and overall team effectiveness.
Deliver at least 3 significant operational efficiency improvements (we have plenty of room for this!).
By 12 Months:
Consistently maintain high-quality, reliable, and autonomous shift operations.
Cultivate a robust leadership bench, minimising daily dependency on your direct input.
Earn recognition company-wide for your reliable leadership and capability to cultivate team leaders.
Essential Requirements:
Proven experience managing structured, high-volume fresh food kitchens (airline catering, cruise ships, army kitchens, large hotel catering).
Advanced planning and organisational skills—thinking several steps ahead and proactively solving problems.
Assertive leadership style with proven effectiveness in managing challenging team dynamics.
Demonstrated ability to train, mentor, and motivate individuals with minimal initial cooking experience.
Strong alignment with structured, collaborative team cultures and continuous improvement mindset.
