About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and personable Health Promotion Coordinator to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will plan, coordinate and lead health promotion and education events, workshops and online programs that increase awareness and support for people living with arthritis and osteoporosis across Western Australia.
You’ll play a vital role in expanding our reach — establishing partnerships, delivering impactful programs in both metro and regional areas, developing engaging resources and supporting strategic projects that help empower our community.
This is a full-time role, although a part-time role may be considered for the ideal candidate.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate, and deliver health promotion and education events, workshops and programs across metropolitan and regional WA
Support organisational projects including grant applications, reporting, and participation in research and working groups
Develop and maintain engaging, evidence-based resources for print and online use
Use online platforms where appropriate to plan, coordinate and deliver seminars, webinars and virtual engagement initiatives
Collaborate closely with staff, volunteers and external stakeholders to maximise community impact
What You Will Bring (Selection Criteria)
Tertiary qualification/s in health, health promotion, or closely related discipline (required)
A minimum 3 years’ experience in a health promotion, community education or closely related role (required)
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including confidence with public speaking
An energetic and friendly manner, with a passion for empowering consumers and educating the community
A highly organised approach to work, with great problem-solving skills
The ability to work collaboratively in a small not-for-profit team environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfortable using online meeting/webinar platforms (e.g. Zoom, Teams)
Experience in arthritis, osteoporosis, or musculoskeletal health (desirable)
Mandatory Requirements
Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC)
Working with Children Check (WWCC)
First Aid and CPR
Valid WA drivers’ licence
Proof of eligibility to work in Australia
