Our work is grounded in the values of compassion, advocacy, responsibility, respect, integrity and collaboration. We’re looking for someone who shares these values and brings both expertise and empathy to their role.

About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and personable Health Promotion Coordinator to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will plan, coordinate and lead health promotion and education events, workshops and online programs that increase awareness and support for people living with arthritis and osteoporosis across Western Australia.

You’ll play a vital role in expanding our reach — establishing partnerships, delivering impactful programs in both metro and regional areas, developing engaging resources and supporting strategic projects that help empower our community.

This is a full-time role, although a part-time role may be considered for the ideal candidate.

Support organisational projects including grant applications, reporting, and participation in research and working groups

Develop and maintain engaging, evidence-based resources for print and online use

Use online platforms where appropriate to plan, coordinate and deliver seminars, webinars and virtual engagement initiatives

Collaborate closely with staff, volunteers and external stakeholders to maximise community impact

What You Will Bring (Selection Criteria)

Tertiary qualification/s in health, health promotion, or closely related discipline (required)

A minimum 3 years’ experience in a health promotion, community education or closely related role (required)

Strong verbal and written communication skills, including confidence with public speaking

An energetic and friendly manner, with a passion for empowering consumers and educating the community

A highly organised approach to work, with great problem-solving skills

The ability to work collaboratively in a small not-for-profit team environment

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfortable using online meeting/webinar platforms (e.g. Zoom, Teams)

Experience in arthritis, osteoporosis, or musculoskeletal health (desirable)

Mandatory Requirements

Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC)

Working with Children Check (WWCC)

First Aid and CPR

Valid WA drivers’ licence

Proof of eligibility to work in Australia

Why Join Us?

Make a meaningful difference in the lives of people across metropolitan and regional WA

Enjoy increased take-home pay through salary sacrifice benefits available to eligible employees

Work with a passionate, supportive team in a values-driven organisation

Flexible working arrangements to support your work-life balance

Opportunities for professional development and growth

Opportunities to contribute to innovation, education and research

At AOWA, we foster a respectful, equitable, and inclusive workplace that values diversity and the lived experience of those we serve.
