About the Role
We’re seeking a dynamic and highly professional Specialist Health Coordinator to coordinate and deliver various health education programs and consumer support services.
This role will suit a motivated health professional with clinical experience and a strong commitment to service improvement. You’ll help drive process enhancements, support governance and compliance, contribute to research and reporting, and represent AOWA in a professional and compassionate manner. You will also lead other staff and volunteers when appropriate to ensure quality outcomes.
This is a full-time role, however a part-time arrangement may be considered for the ideal candidate.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, lead, deliver and evaluate various specialist health programs and consumer support activities, both in person and online
Ensure sound governance, process improvement, and high-quality outcomes across services
Educate and support staff and volunteers using best-practice evidence
Lead other staff and volunteers where appropriate to deliver programs and services
Develop and maintain educational resources, programs and content across digital and print formats
Contribute to the preparation of grants, reports, service reviews and working groups and provide input to research activities where appropriate
Deliver accurate and timely reporting that meets internal and external requirements
Promote and uphold AOWA’s values in all aspects of the role
Delivering work on time and meeting deadlines is essential for this role
What You Will Bring (Selection Criteria)
Tertiary qualification in a health-related field, e.g., Nursing, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy (required)
Current AHPRA registration or equivalent professional body (required)
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in clinical or health-related roles (required)
A dynamic and proactive approach, with strong leadership and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated ability to lead process improvement and ensure service governance
Experience leading other staff and volunteers to achieve program goals
Highly developed report writing, planning and organisational ability
Strong communication skills, including delivery of education and group facilitation
Experience in developing and reviewing evidence-based resources
Collaborative team spirit and a commitment to inclusivity and respect
Strong IT skills with the ability to confidently use a wide variety of contemporary software and systems, including Microsoft Office
Mandatory Requirements
Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC)
Working with Children Check (WWCC)
First Aid and CPR
Valid WA drivers’ licence
Proof of eligibility to work in Australia
