Reporting to the Plant Manager, the main purpose of this role is to oversee the smooth operations on a day-to-day basis, including management of the employees, contractors and promoting the health and safety of all staff.

Please note, this role would be a Monday - Friday role and weekends may be required.

About the role:

Oversee all shift operations on a day-to-day basis, including management of the employees, contractors and continuous optimisation

Providing effective leadership including mentoring, training, and coaching of staff

Driving the team to achieve production and quality targets

Ensure accurate time capture of staff & rostering through the use of tracking software

Coordinating the daily schedules of staff, making changes and adjustments to ensure optimal efficiency.

Be the first point of contact for all things related to operational or Health & Safety while ensuring all staff comply with Re.Group's values, policies, guidelines, and operational procedures

Become a proficient operator of plant machinery such as forklifts, and other site-based processing equipment

Organise job scheduling to ensure staff have the relevant information to complete the scope of work safely and efficiently

Provide toolbox talks that promote our Work, Health & Safety and raise awareness

Stakeholder management of relations with Contractors, Councils, and association groups

Strive for improvement in operations whilst upholding a high level of safety at all times

Continually promote our vision of a wasteless society

About you:

At least 5 years of people management experience ideally in waste management/recycling or relevant industry

You think about safety first

Effective leadership and excellent communication skills

Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of business.

Passionate about the environment & local communities

Proficient in time capture systems to ensure accurate time capture of staff & rostering

Actively looking to achieve operational efficiency and fostering a positive culture
