Senior Tax Accountant / Senior Tax Manager

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen with a fast-growing and well-established Financial Planning group seeking an experienced Senior Tax Accountant up to Senior Tax Manager to lead and grow their Accounting services division.

You’ll be stepping into a leadership role with a clear mandate to drive growth, deliver exceptional client outcomes, and play a key role in shaping the future of the business. This role is ideal for someone ambitious, tech-savvy, and collaborative - ready to take ownership and thrive in an entrepreneurial environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the accounting team in delivering high-quality tax and compliance services

• Manage and grow relationships with existing clients while identifying new business opportunities

• Mentor and develop junior staff, fostering a strong and supportive team culture

• Drive the expansion of service offerings from an accounting perspective

• Prepare individual, partnership, trust, and company tax returns

• Prepare general and special purpose financial statements

• Prepare and review BAS for various business structures

What You’ll Bring

• CA/CPA qualified

• Minimum 7 years’ experience in public practice (boutique or mid-tier ideal)

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, or Business

• Registered Tax Agent

• Strong working knowledge of Australian tax laws and compliance standards

• Proven leadership experience and a commitment to mentoring junior team members

• A professional network within Victoria and full working rights in Australia
