Position - GIS Analyst

Location: Melbourne CBD - Hybrid

About the Role

A detail-oriented GIS Analyst with hands-on experience in spatial data processing, transformation, and integration using FME (Feature Manipulation Engine). Skilled in designing and automating ETL workflows to manage complex geospatial datasets from multiple sources.

Proficient in GIS platforms such as ArcGIS, QGIS, and database systems including PostGIS and Spatial. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a solid understanding of coordinate systems, spatial analysis, and data quality assurance. Adept at supporting planning, infrastructure, environmental, and utility-based GIS projects in both public and private sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, and analyze spatial datasets using GIS tools.
• Perform advanced spatial analysis and geoprocessing using ArcGIS Desktop/Pro and ArcGIS Online.
• Design and automate data workflows using FME for data integration, transformation, and quality assurance.
• Create and maintain detailed maps, dashboards, and reports to communicate spatial insights.
• Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to understand GIS requirements and deliver tailored geospatial solutions.
• Maintain and update spatial databases and metadata according to organizational standards.
• Support data migration and integration projects, particularly involving spatial data sources.
