Senior Business Analyst – ERP Transformation (Chart of Accounts Focus)
Location: Melbourne, VIC
Engagement Type: 6-month contract (through to December 2025)
Work Model: Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week

We’re currently seeking a seasoned Senior Business Analyst to join a large-scale ERP Transformation initiative. This role is critical to preparing the business for upcoming changes, with a primary focus on the redesign and impact analysis of the Chart of Accounts.

You will play a key role in identifying and assessing how updates to the general ledger, cost centre, and product code structures affect upstream and downstream systems—particularly Salesforce (with the support of a Salesforce technical SME)—as well as broader financial and operational workflows.
Key Responsibilities

• Lead discovery and mapping of Chart of Accounts dependencies across applications, integrations, and business processes
• Collaborate with technical teams and SMEs to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial data flows
• Analyse impacts on financial reporting, operations, and system interfaces due to changes in financial structures
• Engage with key stakeholders across finance, IT, and business units to elicit, document, and communicate business requirements
• Prepare detailed documentation including process maps, impact assessments, and data models
• Contribute to project planning, readiness activities, and change management efforts

What You’ll Bring

• Proven experience in ERP financial system implementation or replacement projects
• A solid grasp of financial principles, accounting workflows, and Chart of Accounts frameworks
• Demonstrated ability to assess impacts across complex system landscapes, particularly where integrations are involved
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication capabilities, with the ability to translate complex concepts clearly to various audiences
• Skilled in documenting functional and technical requirements, workflows, and data structures
• Comfortable working in fast-paced, iterative environments with agile or hybrid delivery methodologies
• Familiarity with tools like Jira and Confluence
• Ability to develop ERDs and interpret system architecture diagrams
• Collaborative team player, willing to mentor others and contribute to team success
