Your new role
As an Insurance Broker specialising in financial lines, your main responsibilities will include:
- Deliver tailored insurance solutions to clients, ensuring high service standards and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Focus on Financial Lines products such as Directors & Officers and Professional Indemnity, applying specialist knowledge to meet client needs.
- Negotiate terms and coverage with underwriters for new business, renewals, and endorsements. Support clients through the claims process, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction.
- Drive business growth by retaining existing clients and identifying new opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with insurers, clients, and industry partners.
- Stay informed on market trends, particularly within Financial Lines, to provide proactive advice.
- Ensure all activities comply with relevant legislation, industry codes, and internal policies.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to maintain and enhance technical expertise.
What you'll need to succeed
- A minimum of 3+ years in commercial insurance broking, along with proven experience within financial lines.
- Strong knowledge of D&O, PI, and Cyber products.
- Skilled in client management, underwriting negotiation, and claims support.
- Tier 1 Broking qualification required (or Tier 2 with intent to upgrade).
- QPIB or CIP preferred.
- Comfortable using broking platforms, and proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communicator with strong problem-solving skills.
- Actively engaged in ongoing professional development.
