Diploma Room Leader - Pre Kindergarten + Nursery

We are a growing, new (ish) + privately owned and operated Kindergarten + ELC dedicated to creating a nurturing and non-corporate environment, creating a supportive community where our local children can thrive.

Nestled in a quiet section part the community, our space embodies tranquility and natural spaces. We have been gradually integrating ourselves into the community.

Position Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Diploma Qualified (or working towards) to join our team, working in our beautiful Nursery or Pre-Kindergarten. This is a full-time only role.

The ideal candidate will have a deep love for teaching young children and a commitment to creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. This role involves guiding children through their early learning journey, encouraging curiosity, and supporting their social, emotional, and cognitive development.

Key Responsibilities

Implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with our educational philosophy and goals.

Support a safe and nurturing classroom environment that stimulates learning and promotes positive interactions.

Encourage children to explore their interests through play, hands-on activities, and creative projects.

Foster children’s social and emotional development by teaching conflict resolution, empathy, and cooperation.

Observe and assess each child’s progress, providing feedback and support to parents

Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement special events, and community activities.

Maintain open and effective communication with parents, keeping them informed about their child’s growth and development.

Ensure the classroom and outdoor play areas are clean, organised, and equipped with appropriate materials and supplies.

Qualifications

Diploma in Early Childhood Education or working towards.

Proven experience working with young children in an educational setting.

Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to create a positive and engaging learning environment.

Creative, patient, and adaptable approach to teaching.

Commitment to fostering a non-corporate, natural play space environment.

Must be kind + calm always, and willing to offer a point of difference. This is a long-term dedicated role.
