About the Role
We're looking for a motivated and strategic thinker to join the Expert Advisory Network (EAN) team as a Senior Advisor. The EAN has been designed to connect teams with expert partners from across the NSW public sector to undertake or advise on project work inhouse instead of using of consultants. This role sits within the People and Workforce branch of the Premier's Department.
As Senior Advisor, you'll help shape and support expert partners to deliver high-impact advisory projects across the NSW Government - from business cases and program evaluations to complex problem-solving initiatives. You'll collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders, provide expert advice, and support the growth of a strong internal network of expertise.
You'll also source, analyse and report on project data to show demand for expertise from across the sector. You'll provide data analytics and dashboard expertise to support insights and briefings for senior executives and Ministers.
Your work will contribute directly to improved public sector outcomes by supporting evidence-based decision-making and building capability across government.

We're Looking For
- Project Management: Strong experience in coordinating complex projects, including stakeholder engagement, budgeting and reporting
- Data Analysis & Insight Generation: Confident in synthesising complex data to provide evidence-based insights and advice
- Government Consulting Experience: Background in in-house advisory, consulting or policy work within the public sector is highly desirable
- Communication: High-level writing and presentation skills, including preparation of briefings, reports and executive advice
- Strategic Thinking & Problem Solving: Ability to define problems, develop practical solutions, and translate insights into actions
- Stakeholder Engagement: Skilled at building and maintaining productive relationships across government and external partners.
