Workfast is looking for a Mechanical Technician to join our clients team at an automated facility in Redbank, QLD.

We’re seeking a hands-on Mechanical Maintenance Technician with strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills. This is a great opportunity to join a growing automation team and work on advanced conveyor systems in a dynamic environment. What you need:

• Mechanical trade qualification
• SCADA system experience
• Experience with mechanical drives (gearboxes, conveyors)
• Understanding of pneumatics and hydraulics (solenoid valves, cylinders, flow regulators)
• Ability to interpret mechanical assembly drawings
• Current full driver's licence or airside driver's licence
• Willingness to work rotating shifts

What you will be doing:

• Performing diagnostic tests on automated equipment
• Following preventive maintenance plans
• Troubleshooting and repairing breakdowns and malfunctions
• Rectifying mechanical and communication faults
• Monitoring SCADA systems for faults or alerts
• Supporting the automation maintenance team in achieving optimal uptime
