About the Role
The primary purpose of the permanent Lead Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst is to oversee the delivery of agreed data and reporting outputs. Reporting to the Manager Business Intelligence and Geographic Information Services, the Lead BI Analyst will engage with a broad range of stakeholders to collect business requirements, interpret data trends and patterns, and influence decision-making.
The Lead BI Analyst will manage a team of Senior BI Analysts, providing day-to-day coaching and mentoring and ensuring the BI team are effectively collaborating, and sharing knowledge and learnings with their colleagues across the Strategic Services Directorate. The Lead BI Analyst will be responsible for the continuous improvement of data sets and reports, ensuring that FRV continues to meet agreed standards and deliverables.
What you will need to Succeed
To be successful in this position, you will have:
· A tertiary qualification in a numeric field e.g. statistics, mathematics, economics, commerce or social science (required)
· Minimum of five years working in a data or business analyst position in emergency services (or similar) industry.
· Proven experience partnering with and influencing senior stakeholders.
· Strong experience in using Business Analysis Software such as Power BI or similar system(s).
· Experience in the use of relational databases.
· Demonstrated experience of managing individuals or teams.

FRV’s standard practice is to appoint at the base of the salary range, however consideration will be given to an above base salary within the advertised range based on the successful candidate’s skills and experience
