Canberra Imaging Group (CIG) is seeking a motivated Junior Accounts Receivable Officer to join our Finance team. This is a great opportunity if you’re starting out in finance or administration and want to grow your skills in a supportive environment.

About the Role

You will support payment processing, account reconciliation, and patient billing, while assisting with admin tasks to keep finance operations running smoothly.

Your day-to-day will include:

Processing payments from patients, health funds, and Medicare.

Reconciling accounts and maintaining accurate records.

Issuing statements, handling refunds, and managing third-party payments.

Assisting site staff with billing documentation.

Responding to customer account queries with professionalism and care.

Supporting general office duties such as scanning, filing, and mail runs.

Using our Radiology Information System (RIS) for billing and receipting tasks.

About You

We are looking for someone who is organised, detail-focused, and comfortable working in a team environment. You will need to be proactive and ready to pitch in across the team when needed.

Selection Criteria / Job Requirements:

Strong communication skills and a respectful approach to customer service.

Excellent time management and attention to detail.

Familiarity with Microsoft Office and general office processes.

A willingness to learn and support a range of admin functions.

Highly Regarded:

Exposure or experience in Accounts receivable or similar administrative/finance role (desirable but not essential).

An understanding of Medicare or private health billing.

Experience with Radiology Information Systems (e.g. Apollo RIS).
