The role
This is a newly created role has a strong focus on building the HR function and supporting the General Manager and senior management team in their day-to-day HR operational needs. This role offers up to 20 hours a week (salary is prorated accordingly) with flexibility such as work-from-home arrangements and negotiable employment conditions. Due to our ongoing growth, the role is expected to be initially centered around recruitment and onboarding, however, this will transition into a balance of typical HR generalist duties as we progress, such as:
Aligning with HR objectives by liaising with senior staff and providing HR advice to employees
Provide coaching and development guidance to senior staff
Diagnosing problems and implementing solutions relating to HR management
Prepare reports, submissions, policies on a range of HR related issues
Drive and execute the HR priorities, tools, and processes within the business
What are we looking for?
Due to the hands-on nature of this role, we are looking for someone who can provide broad HR advice and guidance while still being prepared to deliver operational outcomes for the team. You will ideally have qualifications in Human Resource Management, as well as a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a well-rounded generalist role, supporting management-level staff. Experience within technical industries such as Engineering and Surveying is preferred but not essential. Most importantly though, you will be an exceptional communicator, able to influence and build rapport with people of all backgrounds.
