ABOUT THE ORGANISATION

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated person to work for Narang Bir-rong Aboriginal Corporation (Narang Bir-rong). Narang Bir-rong provides Family Support Services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Families in Western Sydney, Nepean Blue Mountains, Northern Sydney/Eastern Sydney/Sydney and connected communities as well as Out of Home Care placements for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and young people who cannot remain at home due to abuse and/or neglect.

The role is full-time (35hrs) and is based at our Penrith Office.

Tasks & responsibilities

The Marketing & Communications Assistant is responsible for supporting the Program Manager, Marketing & Communications in the development and deployment of effective and efficient communication and engagement strategies both internally and externally to increase stakeholder engagement through communication and marketing strategies for Narang Bir-rong.

NBAC PAY SCALES (ABOVE AWARD WAGE)

Total Package Value $83,476.99 - $90,899.80 (value is dependent on qualifications and experience. The total package value includes leave loading and Superannuation)

Qualifications & experience

Qualifications or demonstrated experience in marketing, digital marketing, advertising and promotions are preferred although not essential. Any qualifications in community services, social work, psychology, or relevant social science fields will also be highly regarded.

Knowledge of issues pertaining to the Stolen Generations and transgenerational trauma.

Initiative and ability to work independently as a part of a small, busy team.

Demonstrated knowledge of the following platforms:

o Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, Twitter, Google Business, WordPress.

o Canva, Adobe Creative Suite (particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, and/or Premiere Pro).

o Microsoft Office.

Demonstrated skills in the completion and timely submission of relevant reports.

Demonstrated skills in meeting deadlines and time management skills.

Demonstrated ability to work with and relate to a range of professionals and stakeholders at a high level of communication.

Demonstrated highly developed written and interpersonal skills.

Evidence of at least two COVID-19 Vaccinations.

Current NSW Working With Children Check (WWCC) & National Police Check for employment purposes.

Current NSW Drivers Licence
