Senior Engineer - Automation and Robotics

With a growing workload, they re now looking for an experience or Senior Mechanical Design Engineer who can transforming whiteboard visions into tangible, world-class solutions in end-of-line systems, special-purpose machinery and bespoke robot cells. In this role you will:
* Transform initial concepts into detailed designs and drive them through to successful execution.
* Develop comprehensive manufacturing drawings, including General Arrangements (GAs) and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
* Manage and coordinate all engineering activities required for a projects success.
* Ensure projects are delivered on time, every time.
* Provide essential engineering support throughout the project lifecycle.
* Ensure unwavering compliance with Australian Standards.
* Lend your technical expertise to the design and development of groundbreaking new machines and systems.
* Provide vital engineering support to the commissioning and validation team for both new and existing equipment.
* Participate actively in prototyping and research & development initiatives.
* Quality Champion: Contribute actively to the companys quality management systems.
* Collaboration Catalyst: Liaise effectively with supply chains, partners, and clients.
* Prepare and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
* Ensure project cost control and design equipment that is fit for its purpose.

About you:
* You possess exceptional command of SolidWorks (were currently wielding the power of 2024 SP2).
* You hold a Tertiary qualification in Mechanical / Mechatronics Engineering or a related engineering discipline, providing a robust foundation for your innovative designs.
* You bring at least 5+ years of professional experience as a mechanical designer within the manufacturing arena.
* Experience navigating the intricacies of SolidWorks PDM will give you an extra edge.
* Your portfolio proudly showcases your demonstrated experience in drafting.
* Machine Maestro: You have a proven track record in machine design, with examples that speak volumes about your capabilities.
* You're adept at technically steering a project from the initial design phase all the way through to successful build completion.
* You possess a strong understanding of AS4024 Safety and Engineering Standards, ensuring our innovations are both cutting-edge and compliant.

Your meticulous attention to detail ensures precision in every aspect of your work.
* You possess a fantastic work ethic and an enthusiastic attitude, injecting energy into every project.
* Your computer and communication skills (both written and verbal) are excellent, allowing for seamless collaboration.

Perferred / not essential
* Experience with servos and robotics.
* Your experience with pneumatics.
* Familiarity with sensor selection.
