As Principal Design Engineer-Electrical, you will lead complex projects from concept design to completion, mentoring a team of talented engineers, and take on the responsibility for the overall design and delivery of electrical engineering solutions. You’ll be instrumental in delivering high-quality, safe, and efficient solutions that exceed client expectations within the F&B, industrial refrigeration, confectionery, dairy, meat processing, and oil and gas industries. This role will see you report into and work closely with the Engineering Manager to drive further National expansion:

Key Responsibilities

• Guide and support the Engineering Team through coaching and best practices
• Lead on-site support during installation, testing, and commissioning
• Track project progress and help resolve any delays with the Engineering Manager
• Assist with designing, specifying, and commissioning engineering solutions
• Review engineering calculations to ensure they meet standards and client needs
• Create and maintain technical documents like design specs and test plans
• Support risk assessments to ensure projects are within our capabilities

ABOUT YOU Being an effective Principal Engineer goes beyond technical expertise—it's about leadership, vision, and the ability to drive results across teams and projects. Here are the key qualities and skills that you will bring with you into this role:

• Degree Qualified in Electrical Engineering – CPEng,
• RPEQ, VPEQ, ETAP Highly regarded
• Solid understanding of AS61439 / AS60079 / Hazard Areas
• Experience with PowerCAD or similar platforms
• Experience with ARC Flash analysis and application standards
• Knowledge/Understanding of industrial automation and controls (PLC, SCADA, DCS, Motor Control)
