We are hiring a Mechatronics/Mechanical engineer to optimise our carbon capture device. We're building a carbon capture device for diesel engines. Our technology can capture up to 90% of the CO2 from the exhaust, whilst reducing SOx, NOx, and particulate matter.

Responsibilities

Operate our carbon capture device

Optimising parts in our system including pumps and fans to find the best operating points for CO2 capture

Optimise parameters and operating points in the system

Improve the design of existing prototype as we build the commercially viable unit

Analyse and improve system efficiency, including flow dynamics, heat transfer, material wear, and mechanical integration

Document all development processes, design iterations and system specs

Project manage commercially viable unit build

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Mechantronics, or related engineering discipline

3+ years in mechanical design, automation, or process engineering

Proficiency with CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks, Autodesk investor) and simulation tools (e.g. FEA, CFD)

Strong understanding of mechanical systems, pneumatics, pumps, flow systems, and industrial automation

Experience with rapid prototyping, testing, and automation

Hands on and comfortable working in field environments

Strong problem solving skills, attention to detail and ability to work independently and cross-functionally
