Healthcare management role, with a busy successful Dermatology practice! Full time (this role is also advertised on a part-time basis as we expand our search for the right candidate)

You will be reporting directly to the Owner managed Partners, providing Specialist and General practitioner support from a high calibre team of patient care professionals. We’re a dermatology practice that makes a real impact in people’s lives, you will too! We work with cutting edge technology to deliver a unique patient experience; and are pioneers of the specialised Mohs surgical technique to treat skin cancers. The role is exciting, demanding; and rewarding!

The role of the practice manager will:
Require clear and decisive communication, you’re working with great team who know their day-to-day but need your input as not one day is the same
Engage with our high-quality Specialist and General practitioners to understand and anticipate their needs, ensuring they are supported to provide the best patient care
Assume team leadership through full operational management for our team of patient care professionals, providing support and care to keep this team performing at the highest possible standard
Flexibility you’ll have it to proactively oversee daily operations, ensuring efficiency across appointment scheduling, billing, patient flow, and service delivery;
Adopt and fine tune our technology and systems ensuring digital efficiency in medical records, and patient bookings. We use Xestro and love it, and sure you will too!
Support growth idea generation and marketing efforts, this may include social media updates and referrals
The good stuff: recruitment, onboarding new hires, and supporting training. We’re a great group and everyone lends a hand and takes responsibility
Develop a suite of robust performance score cards, you’re the trusted advisor to our owners; your input will be sought. Operational and financial you’ll know your numbers what great looks like
You will be busy in the background keeping this finely tuned practice optimised.
Required skills and qualifications:
Management experience, you’ve managed staff, coached and provided feedback to help people grow
Experience in medical or specialist practice management (ideally 2+ years)
Understanding of private billing, Medicare, and health fund processes
Possess excellent leadership and interpersonal skills; and problem-solving
The ability to have the tough conversation and advise on improvement opportunities
Approximate hours: Monday to Friday 7:30 - 5:30pm (latest finish time, we’ll try finish you earlier though)
